Company History

Strategic Oil & Gas Ltd. is an emerging junior oil and gas company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The primary business is upstream oil and gas exploitation and development. Strategic's sub-surface technical capabilities lead the industry in geology, geophysics, engineering and petrophysics analysis.

In March 2009, Strategic acquired Zinmac Inc., a private oil and gas company whose primary business was upstream oil and gas exploration and development projects using 3D geo-modelling technology and geo-statistical methods. Strategic's management has a proven track record and with the addition of Zinmac's technical team, has well positioned the company for identifying and maximizing unique, high-impact plays in western Canada.

Since commencing operations in 2005, Strategic has grown its production to 1300+ boepd currently. Recent growth has come through targeted acquisitions with Taber/Conrad in southeastern Alberta (Nov 2009), 38.5% ownership interest in 100+ sections of land at Maxhamish in northeast British Columbia (Mar-Oct 2010), and Steen River Oil & Gas Ltd (Dec 2010) with 200 sections (June 2011) of land in the Steen River area in northwest Alberta.
