Strategic Oil & Gas Ltd. is a Canadian junior oil and gas company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Their primary business is upstream oil and gas exploration, exploitation and development. Strategic’s sub-surface technical capabilities lead the industry in geology, geophysics, engineering and petrophysics analysis.

Since commencing operations in 2005, Strategic has grown its production from zero to 320+ boe/d currently. Recent growth has come through targeted acquisitions at Taber and Conrad in southeastern Alberta and through a farm-in at Maxhamish in northeastern British Columbia.

In March 2009, Strategic acquired Zinmac Inc., a private oil and gas company whose primary business was upstream oil and gas exploration and development projects using 3D geo-modelling technology and geo-statistical methods. Strategic’s management has a proven track record and with the addition of an expert Zinmac’s technical team, has well positioned the company for identifying and maximizing unique, high-impact plays in western Canada.
